The Child Life Program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is a 501c3 organization and public charity.

The program provides therapeutic play and recreational activities to support children and families as they cope with illness, hospitalization, and treatment. These children are confronted with a wide variety of stressful and potentially traumatic events that can lead to feelings of fear, confusion, and isolation. Their mission is to provide support which can reduce the negative impacts these experiences can have on their physical and emotional health.

Donation to Liver Mommas & Families, Inc:

Liver Mommas & Families is a 501c3 organization and public charity.

100% of your donation goes toward helping children who have been diagnosed with pediatric liver disease, other children with serious or life-threatening conditions, and their families. Most of these children have terminal liver disease or have received liver transplants. Some of them are admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Units for other potentially life-threatening health issues, and Oncology Units.

Liver Mommas & Families care packages are filled with items to help families during their child's hospital stay and beyond. A $50 donation sends a care package to family in need.

Inside, the recipients will find a tote-bag they can keep packed and ready for a hospital stay, a travel toiletry kit, a 32oz Nalgene water bottle, a Liver Mommas & Families teddy bear, a $25 Amazon gift certificate, a 12-pack of Child Life Coffee single-serve coffee pods, hand-made masks, and helpful resources to help them navigate their child's diagnoses and transplant journey.
